Way 2
In your app
Our app kit adds the passport check to your own app. VU decides the result on its server and tells you; the app kit holds no secret and decides nothing. Flutter on Android today, iPhone next.
VU reads the chip in a passport, checks the issuing government's signature on it, and matches a live face to the chip's photo. The person keeps the result as VU Verified, so nobody has to check them again.
Nothing to upload: the phone reads the passport itself.

Way 3
People check once in the VU app, free and with no sign-up. It's on Android, and isn't in app stores yet. At a counter, your staff then see that they are over 18, or who they are, with a tap.
At your counterWhat VU keeps
Here VU checks the passport itself, so it holds itself to keeping as little as it can.
VU keeps proofs that a check happened, not the data it read.
Face images are deleted as soon as the check is decided.
People are screened against UK, EU and US sanctions lists at the moment of each check. Nothing is kept, except while a possible match is reviewed.
Nothing is shared until they approve, and a business sees only the fact it asked for.
